Jesus prayed that they might be one as we, Jesus and the Father, are one. I'm a firm believer that what every Jesus prayed will be answered. Like an accurate prophetic word, it will be answered as He meant it. When He spoke it, His prayer, like a prophetic word, contained the power to accomplish His heart's desire. His heart's desire is the unity of love between the Father and the Son, which would be shared and experienced by us all.

This revelation is a heart turner. It is Jesus' prayer that we should live a lifestyle that is more than an example to the world; it's an experience we are to have with the Father and the Son each day. This is our unity. It's not about doctrinal beliefs; it's living in the love and compassion that the Father and Son live out daily. That's the Bride He wants to marry, one who seeks after the love and unity of the Father and the Son. Brides and their husbands never discuss the finer points of theology; it's all about pleasing each other in every aspect of being together. This unity is based on perfect love.

This love is a breakthrough that changes our reasons for meeting. We don't meet just for knowledge, or so we can be free from our kids or as a social gathering. We meet because the love in us yearns for the opportunity to be near those who also want to experience the love Jesus has for the Father and the love the Father has for the Son. That's the unity we've been called to, a unity that only love can create. When Jesus prayed that we might be one as He and the Father are one, He created in us the capacity to experience the love between Jesus and the Father and to live in that unity.

This kind of love knows no boundaries and seeks to end the limitations men make to keep love captive. God's church is free to love God and experience His love for The People of God are His testimony on the earth. By seeking to be one with God, we grow in love for the whole Church, and we end the conflict between denomination and the structures of men. Let us become love's captives and freely demonstrate His great love wherever we go!
