Remember us for life King who delights in life and inscribe us in the Book of Life for your sake God of life.   May you be inscribed and sealed for good year.  A year that is good and sweet and may the final seal be for good.

"Thus, shall he who conquers and is victorious be clad in white garments and I will not erase or blot his name from the Book of Life. I will acknowledge him, and I will confess his name openly before my Father and before his angels."

This day is a Day of Remembrance.  Jewish tradition calls upon us to count the days from creation.  The first day of of the seventh month has become a New Year.  It is the Feast of Trumpets as announced in Leviticus 23:24-25 and it is the first feast of the seventh month leading into the Days of Awe, Yom Kippur and Sukkot or the Feast of Tabernacles.  Nehemiah 8 tells us that we are to:

"Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions unto him for whom nothing is prepared, for this is a holy day unto our Lord and be not grieved and depressed for the joy of the Lord is your strength."
