We have a right to the Kingdom of God because it was blood purchased by Jesus, and its citizenship was given to us. It is our Kingdom, not created by man or by some novel constitution, but declared by the scriptures and purchased by its King. The scriptures declare our ownership, rights, privileges, and citizenship to that Kingdom. While we are sojourners in this life, we are no less rightful owners and co-laborers for a Kingdom.
We are at war fighting for our right to a Spiritual land, the Kingdom of God, and as its citizens, we yield to Jesus' headship while we take our place of authority, not given to us by men but by God. Jesus empowers us to take the Kingdom, even by force, as John the Baptist did. We pray as our King taught us, "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven!" We point to Jesus and provide a home for all believers and a place of blessing for all nations.
As citizens, we live in the Kingdom and obey our King's commands even when they conflict with the natural land we live in. We are citizens first with the Kingdom we've been reborn into. We walk not only as Kingdom citizens and sons of the greater Kingdom through faith but as laborers who bring into this life the power of that Kingdom that changes and heals the lives of those around us.
We must grab hold of our place in God's Kingdom and understand who we are to move in the Kingdom's power. We reside in this Kingdom as Priests and Kings, and we are citizens of a Kingdom first, full of compassion, mercy, and grace. We are called to bring into this life the rights and benefits of that Kingdom, even when it conflicts with the world around us, because that's who we are.
