“But now, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You, our potter; and all we are the work of Your hand.” (Isaiah 64:8) The creator's fingerprints are all over you.  When we fully understand the intimate relationship, our Lord has with us we will have a greater revelation of His love for us.  He shapes our lives for His purposes.  We become vessels of honor and glory.  Each of us molded into His image but distinct in design and touch for His purposes.  The words of the song help us understand as we sing, "You are the potter, I am the clay, mold me and make me this is what I pray."  Pottery that is only formed, however, cannot be used.  It must be fired.  The vessel is placed in the furnace at 1800 to 2400 F

Sound familiar?  We welcome the fire.  The fire on our clay turns us into usable vessels for His glory.  What we are created to do and however we are created to serve we cannot succeed unless we go through the fire of preparation.
